Zhenyu Cai

EPSRC Quantum Technologies Fellow

University of Oxford

I am an EPSRC Research Fellow (group leader, principal investigator) in Department of Engineering Science, Oxford. My research interests centre around the practical implementations and applications of the quantum computers, especially in the near-term and early fault-tolerant regime. Prior to this, I was the Junior Research Fellow in Physics at St John’s College, Oxford.

I usually just go by my surname “Cai” (pronounced as “ts-eye”, which nicely rhymes with Ψ). But I am happy for people to call me “Zhenyu” as well.

I am currently looking for talented individual passionate about building practical quantum technologies to join my group, please see this page for more details.
